Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was forced off with a nasty head injury in the friendly match against Salzburg.

The Dutchman left the field holding a pad to steam the blood from the cut just above his right eye following a clash of heads in the second-half.

The Reds will hope that the injury is not serious so he will be available to face Arsenal in the Community Shield on Saturday.
