Arsenal’s Premier League campaign has come to a close for another season and all eyes are now cast towards next weekend’s FA Cup final against Chelsea.
It is a similar situation to last year, where the Gunners clashed with the Blues in the Europa League final but defeat meant no Champions League football for another year.
This year, it’s FA Cup glory or bust for Mikel Arteta’s side as triumph at Wembley Stadium is the only way for Arsenal to be playing in Europe at all next season – which could be decisive in the hunt for new recruits.
Plenty of rumours are already floating around and we have gathered some of the latest snippets below.

Thomas Partey ultimatum
Atletico Madrid have handed Arsenal an ultimatum and have made it clear that the Gunners will have to activate his £45million release clause to secure a deal, according to reports from Spain.
The Ghana international has emerged as a priority target for Arteta’s side this summer but Atletico are not interested in anything other than a full-price sale.
27-year-old Partey is contracted with Atletico until 2023 but is currently stalling on putting pen to paper on a new deal, which has encouraged Arsenal to make a move.
However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be able to finance a move for Partey, particularly without Champions League football.
Samuel Umtiti loan
Arsenal are among the clubs interested in a loan move for Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti when the summer transfer window opens, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The 26-year-old has struggled with injury issues in recent years and the Catalan side are ready to bolster their defensive ranks ahead of next season as a result.
However, Barcelona’s financial situation is not secure in the current economic climate and their could be a number of exits this summer, with a loan for Umtiti potentially on the cards.
As well as Arsenal, Everton, West Ham, Lyon, Marseille and Rennes have all previously been attributed with an interest in the World Cup winner.
Officials travel to Portugal for Joelson Fernandes negotiations
Arsenal officials are set to travel to Portugal to try and seal a deal for Sporting Lisbon ace Joelson Fernandes, according to A Bola.
The 17-year-old winger is expected to depart the club as Sporting Lisbon are struggling to get him to agree to a new deal, which would see his release clause raised.
Arsenal are keen on a deal for the teenager and a team of officials, accompanied by agent Kia Joorabchian, will travel to Lisbon to ‘close the deal’.
Joelson, who has scored five goals in 28 appearances in his breakthrough season, has been likened to Cristiano Ronaldo after enjoying a similar rise through Sporting’s academy.
