Arsenal fans have been reacting to Mike Dean’s apparent reluctance to award a penalty against Watford.
The Gunners raced out of the block at the Emirates Stadium on the final day of the Premier League season, taking the lead after only four minutes thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s 21st goal of the campaign.
Sending Hornets keeper Ben Foster the wrong way, the Gunners captain made no mistake from 12 yards as he aims to overtake Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy in the Golden Boot race.

But did Dean want to point to the spot?
The official eventually gave the penalty as he penalised Craig Dawson for a foul on Gunners striker Alexandre Lacazette in the area, but not after a lengthy VAR review.
And some Arsenal fans think they’ve spotted a clue which confirms Dean did not want to award the penalty.
As pointed out by a number of fans, the referee was seen shaking his head just before pointing to the spot from which Aubameyang broke the deadlock.
This prompted a big reaction on social media.
Take a look at some of the best responses on Twitter…
Dean would point to the spot once more in the first-half, this time for the visitors.
Ex-Gunner Danny Welbeck was adjudged to have been fouled by David Luiz and Troy Deeney tucked home his penalty to reduce the deficit just before half-time.
Arsenal currently lead 3-1 with Aubameyang helping himself to another after Kieran Tierney’s first-ever goal for the club.
