Arteta dealt blow as key staff member leaves
Arsenal have been dealt a major blow with the club’s Head of Physiotherapy Chris Morgan set to leave in order to join Premier League champions Liverpool.
Morgan previously worked for 10 years with the Reds before leaving the club in 2016, and joined Arsenal’s medical team in 2018 after spells with the FA, LA Galaxy and Crystal Palace.
With Liverpool physio Christopher Rohrbeck set to return to Germany, Morgan will return to Merseyside at the end of the campaign, which will come as a big blow to Mikel Arteta’s plans for his backroom staff.

The Gunners look to be moving quickly for a replacement though, with PSG physio Bruno Mazziotti tipped to join Arteta’s team.
Gunners must avoid previous mistakes with Balogun
After an impressive season in the Under-23s side, it looks as though Folarin Balogun is on his way out of the Emirates Stadium after failing to agree a contract extension.
The youngster has earmarked himself as a natural goalscorer in and around the box, and the five goals in his final three games before lockdown showed his burgeoning talent.
Should the Gunners offload him though, they would have good reason to do so, with three young striking options in Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli and Tyreece John-Jules ahead of him in the pecking order.
If Balogun does leave, Arsenal must ensure they leave the door open to getting him back in the future, having been left kicking themselves in the past with others.
Pepe’s role can help silence critics
Nicolas Pepe’s move to Arsenal last summer took a fair few by surprise, with the Gunners electing to pay £72million to sign the attacker from Lille.

The 25-year-old has taken his time to adapt to life in the Premier League, but is now starting to show the kind of form that saw the Gunners make him their club-record signing.
