Ainsley Maitland-Niles ‘set to leave Arsenal’ this summer as part of Mikel Arteta rebuild

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to leave Arsenal when the summer transfer window opens after falling out of contention under new boss Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are in desperate need of a squad overhaul this summer, with an alarming return of nine wins in 28 games leaving them down in ninth before the Premier League season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But with matchday revenues currently unavailable and finances depleted, Arteta will almost certainly need to sell players in order to raise funds for reinforcements.

And according to The Athletic , Maitland-Niles is likely to be moved on in the summer window.
