Barcelona have been offered the chance to sign Willian on a free transfer this summer, reports say.

The Chelsea attacker is set to become a free agent and recently confirmed he had stopped speaking to the Blues about extending his contract.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been tracking Willian with the view to a free transfer.

Willian had hoped to stay on at Chelsea, but the club have a strict policy about offering long-term deals to players over the age of 30.

The Brazilian had asked for a three-year deal and his agent has now begun the search for a new club following Chelsea’s refusal to meet Willian’s demands.

Spanish outlet Sport claim Willian’s long-term suitors Barcelona have been approached about signing him.

But Willian’s age and wage demands have put Barcelona off, as the 31-year-old wants a three-year contract.

Barcelona repeatedly tried to sign Willian in the last two years, but now they are prioritising younger targets who won’t command such a big salary.
