Dayot Upamecano has reportedly told Red Bull Leipzig he wants to leave the club in the summer, with Arsenal among the clubs keen to sign him.

The 21-year-old centre-half has made it clear he will be moving on, despite the progress made under Julien Nagelsmann.

His current deal expires in 2021, meaning Leipzig will likely have to cash in on him, despite his importance to the side.

And he has piled pressure on the club by insisting he wants to leave, forcing them to find a buyer, according to SportBild.

Leipzig stand to make a decent profit on the centre-back, who they signed for just £9m from Red Bull Salzburg in 2017.

Arsenal bid €60m for his services last summer and that sum would trigger his release clause.

However, Leipzig may be willing to accept a lower price to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transer.
