Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah has revealed the reason for his new phone celebration after scoring against Everton.
The Gunners youngster scored the club’s first goal in their 3-2 win against Everton.
He celebrated by pretending to take a phone call in front of the cheering Emirates crowd.
And the 20-year-old explained the celebration after the game.
Speaking after the game, Nketiah said: “In pre-season the Arsenal Media came up with a little thing ‘call me if you need a goal’ so I have kind of just stuck with it.
“A lot of my friends like it so they are eager for me to dial them up if I get on the scoresheet so I try to enjoy each goal, whether that is youth level, in the park, anywhere I always try to celebrate and enjoy it and it is always a blessing to score.”
Nketiah spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds but only scored three Championship goals.
The youngster, though, had a positive review of his time at Elland Road.
“My Leeds experience was good for me, I learned as a player,” he claimed.
“I might not have played as much as I want but I had good moments when I was there when I came on and played.

“If you check my minutes to goal ratio it’s quite good but obviously it’s just how things are. It’s a very good environment to be in, it’s a very demanding coach and I learned a lot.
“You have to learn about yourself and take each opportunity as it comes. I’m here playing at Arsenal, which is a dream.”
And the 20-year-old heaped praise onto manager Mikel Arteta for giving a chance.
“He was a bit 50:50 on letting me go anyway and I was 50:50 as well,” Nketiah continued. “He likes this mentality and obviously the quality I have, I try to showcase that.
