Steve Bruce has bemoaned the frustration of Andy Carroll’s lingering hip injury and says there is no timescale on his return.
Sportsmail revealed in November that the striker was suffering from the problem, which has failed to clear in the past two-and-a-half months.
Carroll did return to feature in seven games over December and early January but has now been sidelined for the past month and will miss Sunday’s trip to Arsenal.
