Arsenal star Lucas Torreira had fans in stitches after confessing he wanted to play basketball when he was younger, despite his smaller frame.
The Uruguayan has enjoyed a revolution under Mikel Arteta, having been rumoured with a move away last year.
Since the Spaniard replaced Unai Emery in December, Arsenal’s little midfielder nearly every minute of Premier League football except for two halves.
And Torreira has been filmed enjoying his time with the north London side on their warm weather training camp in Dubai.
But the midfielder has made a confession about what he wanted to do before kicking a ball professionally.
In an interview for the club’s official website, the Uruguayan was asked what sport he would play if it was not football.
And he replies: “Basketball, always.
“I love it.”
But, standing at 5ft 5in, Torreira would stand out on the court.

NBA legends such as Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James have used their height to find the hoop, which stands 10ft above the ground.
The Gunners star, though, has a brilliant response.
“I don’t have the height, though,” he adds.

While a third suggested he could do it with some team-work.
