Former Arsenal and England defender Lee Dixon believes Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder should win the Manager of the Year award.

The 52-year-old has worked wonders with a low-budget squad at Bramall Lane, unexpectedly pushing the Blades into contention for the top four.

With 12 Premier League games left this season, Sheffield United sit just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, and Gunners legend Dixon said Wilder’s achievements are possibly more impressive than Jurgen Klopp’s at Liverpool.

He told Premier League Productions: ‘Arguably you can say that’s a better job than what Jurgen Klopp’s doing.

‘You could have that argument because it’s not just the results they’ve had, it’s the way they’ve gone about the season.
