With the January transfer window now open, new Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be looking to get straight down to business.
The former Arsenal midfielder has a big job on his hands to turn things around at the Emirates Stadium this season, with the Gunners languishing in mid-table upon his arrival.
That means we could see plenty of business done by Arsenal this month as the Spaniard looks to make his mark on the team.
Here’s a round-up of the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip from North London.
Juventus open to offers for Rabiot
Juventus are reportedly open to selling Adrien Rabiot, who is top of Mikel Arteta’s January wish list.
The Italian giants are open to offers between £21million and £25million, with the midfielder having been unable to nail down a spot in Maurizio Sarri’s side this season.
Juventus knocked back Arsenal’s initial interest, insisting Rabiot was not for sale after only joining the club during the summer.
But they could now be able to prise the midfielder away, although they will face competition from Everton and Rabiot’s former manager at PSG Carlo Ancelotti.
Scouts sent to watch Rangers’ Kamara
Arsenal have sent scouts to Rangers’ last six games in order to watch midfielder Glen Kamara in action .
The 24-year-old began his career in north London before being released by the club in 2017, having made just one appearance for the Gunners.
The Finland international has impressed for Steven Gerrard’s side after making the move from Dundee.
He played 80 minutes in the 2-1 league win over Celtic that left Rangers just two points off the Scottish Premiership leaders with a game in hand.
Fans identify Ozil replacement
Arsenal fans have identified their choice to replace Mesut Ozil, and have called on the club to make a January move for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
The 24-year-old’s form this season has caught the eye, with many suggesting that he should get a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
The midfielder scored his eighth goal of the season during Villa’s 2-1 win over Burnley on New Year’s Day, with his performance leaving many Gunners clamouring for his arrival .
Any deal may be difficult to do though, with Villa likely to do all they can to keep hold of their star man in their battle against relegation.
