Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has thanked Unai Emery for making him Arsenal captain.
Following Granit Xhaka’s outburst against Crystal Palace and subsequently being stripped of the captain’s armband – just over a month after the decision was made official – the Gabon international took on the responsibility.
As it turns out, that has proven to be one of Emery’s final acts as Gunners head coach.
