Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg primed to take over if Unai Emery sacked

Arsenal youth coach Freddie Ljungberg is in line to take over as manager should Unai Emery get sacked.

That is according to The Athletic reporter David Ornstein, who has close ties to the Emirates outfit.

Emery has started the season in mixed form but the Gunners find themselves third in the Premier League – despite just four wins out of eight.

And the Spaniard will have to keep hold of that position if he wants to keep his job after the end of the season.
