Gabriel Martinelli says Unai Emery has urged him to be patient for his first start in the Premier League.
The Brazilian forward joined Arsenal from Ituano FC in the summer, with Gunners technical director Edu using his contacts in his native country to seal a deal for the highly-rated 18-year-old.
Martinelli has already made a big impression in north London, but mainly in the Europa League and Carabao Cup where he has scored four goals in two appearances – two against Nottingham Forest and another brace against Standard Liege.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery handed the teenager his Premier League debut as a late substitute in the first game of the season against Newcastle, but Martinelli is yet to start a game in the league.
