Unai Emery is ready to hand Rob Holding his comeback in one of Arsenal‘s next two matches.
Holding travelled with the first team for the first time since suffering a knee injury in December for Thursday’s Europa League trip to Frankfurt.
He was ultimately left out of Emery’s 18-man match day squad with the Gunners being patient with the centre-back and determined not to rush his return.

But head coach Emery said: ‘He is ready to play. We are going to play on Sunday against Aston Villa and on Tuesday against Nottingham Forest [in the Carabao Cup].
‘These two matches, we can decide in one or the other, if he is going to play.’
