  • The game kicked off with thousands of seats left empty at the Olympic Stadium
  • But the Azerbaijan FA opened up turnstiles mid-game to fill gaps in the crowd
  • UEFA are investigating as they’re unhappy the Azerbaijan FA didn’t consult them

UEFA are investigating after it emerged that turnstiles at the Olympic Stadium in Baku were opened to allow in ticket-less members of the public midway through Wednesday night’s Europa League final.

Neither Arsenal or Chelsea had been able to sell their full allocation of 6,000 tickets due to high travel costs and logistical issues getting to the Azerbaijani capital.
