Charlie Nicholas delivers his verdict on Mesut Ozil's future following Europa League final loss

Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas has claimed that it may be time for midfielder Mesut Ozil and the club to go their separate ways.

Despite wearing the captain’s armband on several occasions this season, Ozil has failed to make a real impact under manager Unai Emery. The German started the Europa League final against Chelsea on Wednesday night, but was anonymous in the center of the pitch, and was replaced by youngster Joe Willock in the 78th minute.

Such performances have left questions over Ozil’s future at the club, but Nicholas believes that the midfielder has not been able to showcase the talent that he has.
