The inside story of the May day at Highbury when Arsenal became 'The Invincibles'

On this day 15 years ago I was in my usual Clock End season ticket seat at beloved Highbury watching Arsenal make history after beating a determined Leicester City side 2-1 to become the Invincibles.

The victory meant Arsene Wenger’s Gunners side had gone through the whole league season unbeaten – and in doing so were given the ‘Invincibles’ tag.

Preston North End were the original Invincibles after going through the 1888-89 campaign unbeaten across 22 matches – but to achieve such a milestone in the modern age, was thought to be impossible.
